Musk Lorikeet Australian Bird Die-cut Sticker

Musk Lorikeets (Trichoglossus concinnus) are bright little bullets of colour that streak through the sky in a flash following the seasonal blooming of eucalyptus and melaleuca flowers. These cuties can be found on Australia’s south-east and southern coasts, and like scaly-breasted lorikeets, they tend to hang out high in the canopy so finding amongst the leaves with binoculars (or a camera) can be quite tricky!

My most reliable way of identifying them in flight is if I can spot the undersides of their wings. In this case, they’re green, whereas scaly-breasted lorikeets have orange, and rainbow lorikeets are larger and fly a little slower. I’m still working on differentiating their calls though, especially when my local flocks are a mix of all three species! XD
