Pied Currawong Australian Bird Die-cut Sticker

Swooping effortlessly through the sky is the pied currawong (Strepera graculina), a close relative of the Australian magpie and butcherbird families. Sleek and a little shy, these mysterious fellows weave through the trees in search of food, including seeds, bugs, berries, small birds and marsupials, favouring canopies rather than foraging on the ground directly. They also have a hauntingly beautiful selection of calls that complement the regular cacophony of Aussie bird songs.

I especially love their graceful flight maneuvers and their piercingly yellow eyes (especially when they look right at you.) I’ve also shared a few homegrown blueberries with them in the springtime and love watching them take off with their little sweet snacks. (The berries in the sticker are actually blueberry ash berries, but they like both, haha!)
